2022 Spring Information

Finally, I know everyone has been anxious to get the season started and back having our Opening Day festivities. We extended registrations to capture as many players as possible. Here is some information moving forward.

The New Hyde Park Little League will get back to having the annual parade on Saturday, April 23rd, 2022, kicking off at 12:00 P.M. The staging area will be at the usual place on Leonard Blvd. (Applebee's) between Jericho Turnpike and Park Ave. The Parade will travel west on Jericho Tpke. to Covert Avenue, turning south on Covert Avenue, then west on Stewart Avenue to Michael J. Nuzzi Field.

After the parade we will have two Opening Day games. The Boys Majors Division will play at 2 P.M. followed by the Boys Minors Division starting at 4 P.M.

Tee Ball - April 9th will be uniform pick up in the little league office (in NHP Village Hall on the 2nd Floor) from 10 A.M. to 10:30 A.M.

Girls Softball - There will be a single team in each of the Farms, Minors and Juniors Divisions, all playing District Ball. Team managers will reach out with additional information soon.

Boys Farms - On field evaluations will be the week of April 11th, details to follow.

Boys Minors - There are 3 teams which means all games will be "in house". The evaluations are scheduled for Saturday, April 2nd at 9 A.M. at Nuzzi Field. The rain date will be Sunday, April 3rd at Noon at Nuzzi Field. The draft will take place right after the evaluations are completed.

Boys Majors - There will be a draft on a date to be determined and team managers will be in contact with additional information.

Boys Juniors - We will have one team playing Distrct Ball in the 13-14 age bracket. The manager of this group has reached out to those parents to welcome them back. The game schedule has yet to be determined.
